Which is the most scary? Buttonholes or Zips?
Don't be put off by making buttonholes especially if you have a buttonhole attachment on your machine. It is so easy.
Just measure your button on the back of the attachment - this then automatically adjusts the size to sew
Make sure you mark up your buttonholes. One of my favourite Clover tools is good for this. Align the attachment opening over the beginning of your markings
Hold the top thread under the attachment, select buttonhole stitch and it will automatically begin with reinforcement stitches
and continue on to do bar tacks and zig zagging without you having to anything. i just kept an eye on to make sure it was sewing straight on my markings
And another great trick to stop you from ripping though your bar tacks is to position a pin at the end
So give it a go, it's not that scary.....and let me know
