I'm In Heaven

I have had a good morning trying to choose some fabric from the Florence Broadhurst Sale

Great cushions also and aprons

and I love these lampshades

I decided to chose from the Kabuki range

The two large repeat patterns will be good for cushions and some wall art for my new studio in the making. Even an apron perhaps. Then the small print will be good for placemats and an apron.

Also bought some great journals for my present stash.

Florence Broadhurst Sale

I love Florence Broadhurst designs. This is one of my favourites - Japanese Floral

I just have to go to the sale on for 4 days from April 29th at Shop 12, 69 Merchant St, Victoria Harbour, Docklands.

Heide

Had a great afternoon walk though the sculpture park at Heide and visiting the exhibitions. It was great to go into the renovated house of John and Sunday Reed and read about there lives and friendship with now famous artists, see fabulous artwork and a flashback to early aussie life.

I also loved the exhibition from Simryn Gill called Pearls - where she had taken peoples fav books and then turned them into paper pearls and strung them.

Well worth a Sunday afternoon visit and Cafe Vue has also opened up there as well

Autumn Flowers

I bought these beautiful flowers from South Melbourne market this morning. This berry colour is becoming a fav of mine and I was surprised to see it in flowers.I already have a cardi in this colour. Enjoy this beautiful sunny day. Sharon

Chicken with Mushroom and Tarragon

Just made a great new recipe published in The Age on the weekend by Cath Claringbold of exMecca fame. Delicious for Autumn nights. Served with brocollini for a great meal. Sharon

Sunday Brunch

I am exploring Docklands and have found a fav brunch spot under the ANZ bank on the Yarra called Team Degani where cyclists and walkers mix for breakfast. It's the perfect day looking towards Yarra's Edge.

Over here and oversexed

Did you watch Pacific? I am keen to watch next week when The Marines have 9 months rec leave in Melb. At the Melb Town Hall there is a small exhibition documenting visual and oral histories of this time. I had to take this photo of a Beaufighter flying over the MCG.

Lady Grey Coat

At my Burda sewing group some of the members have been making up Colette patterns. Check out the Flickr group. They are new to me so have been checking them out. As I have been looking for a lightweight belted jacket I came acrosss the Lady Grey Coat
