She is cute and although it's taken me along time to make I am keeping her for me.

I am loving making preserves and jams.
Today I am sharing my Cherry Chutney. The recipe is from Lifestyle. I substitued the raisons with Craisons (dried cranberries). Will go well with cold meats over the festive period.

What dessert are you cooking for Christmas?
Using my new found preserving and jam making skills i wanted to make cranberry sauce. I just bought frozen cranberries from the supermarket
300g frozen cranberries (I used Creative Gourmet)
1 cup of orange juice ( you could use cranberry juice)
2/3 C caster sugar
orange zest to taste
1. Bring juice to boil, add cranberries and cook for 5 - 7 minutes until most cranberries burst and soften, stir often.
2. Stir in sugar and zest. Stir until sugar disolves and and bring back to boil.
3. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
4. Pour into sterilised jars
With not much time left before Christmas I am trying to finish this doll. I have been very busy this December so today was a day off watching the cricket and recovering from a hectic time before the next onslaught. I finished her skirt and bodice. Have her boots and underpants to go. It's been a hard slog.

I have seen a little bit of this Japanese masking tape around the blogging community lately so was keen to get some to use for Christmas. I bought this from Pretty Tape on Etsy. Last week I noticed Borders were selling it for nearly $5 a roll.
