Looking Forward and a Little Backward Too

A new year has begun and I am excited about what it brings.

Having transitioned from Singapore last year to be living full time in Melbourne has been great. But still more moves are in sight this year with us having to move houses. But what fun. On the checklist is a dedicated studio/sewing room for me. I cant wait.

But just looking back for the moment I have had fun quilting, sewing and crafting

 

My passion for all things Japanese continued

Some jewellery making too

and of course food, glorious food

I am sure there will be more of all this in 2010.

Re-Stringing

Although not alot of crafting going on in my space I have had some time to restring some beads I was given.

Black seed beads, amber, glass and pearls threaded with a sterling silver clasp. A long opera length allowing me to double up or use as a single strand. Great for summer

Silver Sensation

For a favourite friend I recently made this bracelet  for a special milestone birthday. Grey freshwater pearls and silver seed beads and sterling silver clasp. She's going to love it.

Accessorising

I made this necklace before I left Singapore to go with my new classic shirt. A combo of czech faceted glass beads, large and mid sized silver Swarovski crystal pearls and Swarovski purple faceted glass beads with a sterling silver clasp.
